Electrolux

I got the opportunity to be part of the web design workforce for Electrolux's European brand websites, including the renowned brands AEG and Zanussi.

Tools used: Figma, Sketch, Invision.

All of the design work done was pushed out onto all European markets and all brands, meaning that I had to keep aspects like flexibility, translations and color handling in mind at all times. And of course, also for mobile.

The homepage is an essential part of the site that needs to be optimized to its fullest, especially when working with e-commerce. I took part in designing modules to be presented in the front page as well as optimizing these continously based on multi variant testing.

As easily seen, there are a lot of similarities between the Electrolux and AEG sites, and that's due to the code markup and logic being identical, with changes being made to the stylesheet.

The product listing page is likely the main location of online commerce. I took part in constantly improving both visual design and logical user flows to improve the experience for the consumers.

Similar to the product listing page, the product detail page is just as important to get the business to succeed. Here I always had to keep aspects in mind like different markets having different means of transaction methods, as well as other local limitations, and how to adapt the design to cater to these.

One of the projects I was design lead on was the new account creation and log-in views. The challenge here was making sure that the design was going to work properly with all of the different API's from different solutions on the site. Some we where aware of, some we had to explore, as well as to do so with external parties. Overall the project was a big success and is now live on all sites in Europe.

Some parts of the site are less seen, but just as important. I've worked on services like booking a repair and registering a product. Here it was vital to create a positive user experience due to the fact that a consumer could already be frustrated from a broken appliance. Once more, a lot of local limitations were present (different repair companies, different ways of handling adresses, other cultural phenomenon).

My techincal way of thinking turned out to be very appreciated whilst working on these projects, making it much easier to take these limiatations and adaptations into account.
